Connect with the Rising Generation: Put your personal and family history stories on their phone!

You want to connect with younger family members, strengthen them, give them some guidance?

Personal life stories, whether they are your own or those of a loved one, are a wonderful way to do it. They are about someone you both know and love (yes, that could actually be you) or they are about a shared experience. This is “common ground” and a great vehicle to build stronger connections and share insights and advice.

A Rememberize Web Book puts your stories where your target audience (= your younger family members) likes spending time – on their phones!

To publish Rememberize Web Books, log into your free Rememberize account and purchase a premium subscription ($69/year, $99/2 years).

Please remember, the Web Book examples on this page are formatted for viewing on a mobile device.

If your personal history is already written and possibly sitting on a shelf, consider relaunching some of the best stories in form of a Web Book. Much like a museum curates exhibits to generate new excitement, your efforts to re-package and re-present are an opportunity to re-connect and might prompt revisiting the complete printed works.

Here is an example of how we turned 5 pages of a 300+ page personal history into a Web Book.

Web Book: Dwayne N. Anderson – Does God plan our destiny?

Printed Personal History

If you are writing your personal history for the first time, consider releasing “installments” in the form of Web Books throughout the year and then publishing the printed book at the end. Each time you publish you are making a connection.

Here are two links to the first two Web Books in what we later printed as a collection containing 4 books.

Web Book 1: Daddy Comes Home (1940-1947)

Web Book 2: Decisions (1947-1957)

If you have a monumental story to share with your loved ones, a Web Book for everyone and a printed copy for a few, maybe one per family, is a cost-effective way to deliver your message.

Here is an example of Joerg making a life-altering decision.

Web Book: Becoming a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – My Conversion Story

Our free Rememberize app makes it easy to store the links to the Web Books and conveniently retrieve them whenever there is a bit of downtime.  Give your loved ones a “family option” when they are browsing on their phones.

Your stories are created through our web site. Simply paste your text or write new stories directly into our simple text editor. Insert the pictures you want and any other links to audio or video clips.

You are able to invite co-editors to help you create your book. The book owner, that’s the person who starts a book project, needs a premium Rememberize subscriptions. Co-editors can use their free account.

When you are happy with your creation, just click the share button and send the link to your family and friends.
